AeroWatch is a UK public health campaign organisation. Our mission is to expose ultra-fine particle (UFP) pollution from aircraft engines and campaign for mandatory, independent UFP monitoring at UK airports.

For the purposes of UK data protection law, AeroWatch is the data controller for personal data collected through this website.

2. What Data We Collect

When you sign up to our pre-launch notification list, we collect:

We do not collect your name, location, phone number, or any other personal data through this form. We do not use cookies on this website.

3. How We Use Your Data

We use your email address for one purpose only: to notify you when AeroWatch launches and to send you campaign updates about our mission to secure mandatory UFP monitoring.

We will not use your data for any other purpose, and we will not sell, rent, or share it with any third party for their own marketing purposes.

4. Legal Basis for Processing

The legal basis for processing your data is consent under Article 6(1)(a) of the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR).

You gave this consent by ticking the consent checkbox on our sign-up form before submitting your email address. Consent is voluntary. Withdrawing it will not affect you in any way.

5. Our Email Service Provider (Data Processor)

We use Brevo (formerly Sendinblue) to manage our mailing list and send emails. Brevo acts as our data processor - they store and process your email address on our behalf, in accordance with our instructions.

Brevo is based in France and subject to EU GDPR and the UK GDPR adequacy decision. Their privacy policy is available at brevo.com/legal/privacypolicy.

We have a data processing agreement in place with Brevo as required by UK GDPR.

6. How Long We Keep Your Data

We will hold your email address on our list until one of the following:

8. How to Unsubscribe

Every email we send includes an unsubscribe link at the bottom. Clicking it will immediately remove you from our mailing list. Alternatively, email us at info@aerowatch.org with the subject line "Unsubscribe" and we will remove you manually within 5 working days.

9. Cookies

This website does not use cookies. All fonts and assets are served from this server - no third-party scripts or tracking pixels are loaded on this page.

If you sign up to our mailing list, Brevo may set a cookie on confirmation pages they host - you can read about this in Brevo's privacy policy.

10. Data Security

We take reasonable steps to protect your personal data. Your email address is stored by Brevo using industry-standard security practices. We limit access to your data to authorised campaign members only.

No data transmission over the internet is completely secure. If you have concerns about submitting data online, please contact us by another means.

11. Children

This website is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe we have done so in error, please contact us and we will delete the data immediately.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. The "last updated" date at the top of this page will always reflect the most recent version. If we make significant changes that affect how we use your data, we will notify you by email.
